Mrs. Veronica Lopez, Principal
Welcome to St. Francis Catholic School, where we have been serving students and their families since 1962. Wildcat pride runs deep in our Yuma community since we have been preparing young men and women to lead and serve in the Church, community, and the world for over 50 years. St. Francis Catholic School’s mission statement is the foundation of how we teach our students to excel both spiritually and academically. In the tradition of the Roman Catholic Faith, and in partnership with our parents, we work with students to become the image and likeness of God. It is in His image that our students understand God’s will for them and work every day to become faithful to the Church’s teaching and their learning.
St. Francis School is a prekindergarten through eighth grade co-educational institution that offers a rigorous high school prepatory curriculum. Our staff includes 13 fully certified and qualified teachers with religion level 1 certifications and we have many teachers with a long tenure at St. Francis School. We also offer a variety of extracurricular activities including sports, student council, math counts, science club, and peace choir. We have more clubs starting this year, as we strive to create activities and opportunities to enhance our students learning and create more well-rounded individuals.
We also work closely with students and their families to provide funding through grants and scholarships. Catholic education is available, affordable, and accessible and we can show you how!
Most importantly, with only 250 students, our school offers a very warm, intimate and family-like environment. When you enroll at St. Francis, you become part of our Wildcat family where we value family, faith, and future. We are saving a seat for you!
Again, I welcome you to St. Francis Catholic School. Contact the school for a visit or tour and come see the great things happening with our students.
In His Service,
Veronica Lopez
